Services
Starting from 1st of April. This social club is aiming to provide a space for members to increase the socialise life among with old friends, as well as to meet new friends.
NLCA and Chinese Church in London are working together to provide Chinese book session. There are various choices of book to read. Now you can sit down and have a cup of tea/coffee while you are reading book, and of course you can even share or talk about your readings with other people. The book held in the session can not be take away, seats are available in the session. Light refreshments and drinks are also available for purchasing.
Date: Monday to Friday We offer hybrid advice session to our members with no appointment required. We will try our best to give the advice and discuss your enquiries and refer you to the professional to solve your problem if necessary. The services cover general legal matters, negotiation with Council, medical issues, education, consumer rights and welfare rights. Please note, we only give out the advices, please seek professional to deal with any cases.
Date: 1st Monday of each month North London Chinese Community is in associate with Welfare Rights Unit from Barnet Council to provide Welfare Rights Advice Sessions (this service restricts to our member only). The sessions will run by Ms Kate Green, Welfare Rights Advisor. The sessions will deal with enquirers of a Welfare Benefit nature, i.e. entitlement or possible entitlement to Social Security Benefit such as Minimum Income Support, Housing or Council Tax Benefit, Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance. We will not be able to deal with other issues such as Housing, Health, Planning or Education. Please telephone or come in our office to book your session (please quote your membership number).
